Well, how’s it going? Did anyone skip the steak this week and eat a salad instead?

    12-3-06 Prayer Request

Please pray for me. Today didn’t go very well either. You don’t realize how much you like something until you try to do without it. Turns out I really like beef - beef of any sort. I like steak, hamburgers, roast, beef tips on a salad w/ ranch dressing. You name it, I like it.

I am also finding out that my inner strength is at its lowest when I am tired. Today after church I had a jumbo cheezeburger and fries. We had done our children’s church Christmas party the night before and I had rented several big inflatable slides and stuff. We left it all up for the kids Sunday at Children’s Church. By the time we had deflated all the rides, rolled them up and loaded them in the truck I was just spent. At lunch afterward I just had to have that jumbo cheezeburger. Saving the planet is hard…

    12-5-06 Praise Report!

Today has gone much better. I ate grilled chicken for lunch and dinner. However, I did have some soup that had hamburger meat in it.

    12-6-06 Not so good today

Please pray for me. Today did not go so well. I had a hamburger steak for lunch and it was gooood! We have supper on Wednesday nights at church and they served beef stew. Is it my fault that I ate it? I suppose I could have stuck to the salad and green beans.

This does give me an idea. I’ve been thinking about how churches can “green” themselves. Well, one way might be to limit Wednesday night suppers and pot-luck dinners to non-beef entres.
