We at GreenArch Design Group have been working with Tommy Vandiver on some joint ventures over the last couple years.  Tommy is a great man to be around and I learned very quickly that he has a passion and desire to win people to the Lord.

I had the privilege of working with Donnie Nix while he was Minister of Music at Beulah Baptist Church in Fountain Inn.  Donnie is a man that seeks to do God’s will, not what’s popular.  He was truly a blessing to the ministry at Beulah Church.  He was able to bring a not-so-good choir (of which I was a part, so I’m not talking about them!) that had “never done it that way before” to a choir that put on three passion plays (like we definitely had not done before!) that Donnie wrote and directed.  He is a very talented man who wants to be and is being used by God.

I went to the Disciple concert at Redemption World Outreach Center Church here in Greenville, SC.  I have been to quite a few Christian concerts, but this one blew me away.  The band Disciple is known for its heavy metal sound and head banging music.  Though the concert was amazing and the music was great, the vocalist, Kevin Young, lead the crowd in prayer and a Bible study.  He made sure they knew that this was not about the band Disciple but about Jesus Christ.  Then the band finished and left the stage.  The crowd liked them so much that they chanted “bring them back” until the band was brought back on stage to sing one more song.

This is one band you really need to check out.  Good Christian music with a heavy metal sound.
